DeWitt Excavating, Inc. has been in business for 38 years. Terry & Janet DeWitt started out in March of 1974 with one backhoe and one dump truck, operating out of their home on Main Street. In November 1989, they moved to their current location, 7395 US Highway 50 in Lamar, Colorado. Dustin started working full time in the summer of 1991 after graduation. Staci started working full time in the spring of 1993. DeWitt Excavating incorporated in 1998. Today, DeWitt Excavating, Inc. has 15 employees. Dustin DeWitt is the current President, Terry DeWitt, Vice-President, Staci DeWitt, Secretary and Janet DeWitt, Treasurer of the Corporation.

DeWitt Excavating, Inc. is a member of the US Chamber of Commerce since 1991, Lamar Chamber of Commerce since 1991, National Federation of Independent Businesses since 1975, Land Improvement Contractors of America & Colorado Cattleman’s Association.

DeWitt Excavating, Inc. offers backhoe, dozer, excavator and mini-excavator, loader & skid loader, trencher and trucking service for projects like leveling and grading, excavation and earth moving, demolition, ditch and drainage work, irrigation, sewer, water and gas lines, septic tank installation, digging basements, foundations, grain hoppers and pools, snow removal and oil field work. DeWitt Excavating, Inc. also stocks a complete inventory of pipe and pipe fittings from 1” to 36”, valves and hardware for nearly any type of pipe line repair or new installation. If we don’t carry it, we will do our best to get it for you. DeWitt Excavating, Inc. also offers sand, gravel, rock and fill dirt.
