Flowers are our passion at Thoughts in Bloom. Creativity and longevity are regarded as the most important aspects of any design. As owner and lead designer, Melissa has promoted this philosophy since she purchased the flower shop eight years ago. Educational seminars and flower shows are attended several times a year in order to boost the creative atmosphere in the design room. Cleanliness and organization are insisted upon to guarantee freshness and lengthen the life span of a bouquet.

Premium roses are purchased twice weekly from an exclusive supplier. Several varieties are on hand to give our customers a wide selection from which to choose. In addition, Melissa selects unusual and interesting flowers such as Bird of Paradise, Canterbury Bells, Monkey Tails and Chocolate Cosmos so that customers can enjoy the entire floral spectrum. Although carnations, daisies and iris are favorites for some customers, Melissa invites a flower buyer to step beyond the traditional and experience something new.

A green thumb comes in handy in raising green and blooming plants, but so is purchasing from an excellent supplier. Unhappy with the previous greenhouse, Melissa went on a quest and challenged suppliers to meet her expectations. Now patrons receive not only exceptional plants but also a greater selection of varieties. Special orders are no problem and can be received with only a couple days notice.

During a time of loss, never under estimate the power of comfort provided by a floral gift. Whether it is a fresh cut arrangement or a long lasting plant, a personalized sentiment lives forever in our hearts. To celebrate the life of a loved one, Melissa will personally work with a bereaved family to develop a memorable tribute. Casket sprays are created to tell a life story by including photographs, fishing rods or maybe wooden spoons without disturbing integrity or respect.

To begin our life story, cute and trendy designs are created for delivery to new babies and mothers at the hospital. Balloons and plush animals round out birthday, anniversary and holiday arrangements. Even that hard to buy for person can be pleasantly surprised with jelly beans, chocolates or food baskets. For a special pleasure, you can treat yourself to a custom made permanent botanical wreath, swag, or office arrangement.

One of life’s most important milestones is a wedding day. Thoughts in Bloom can help with planning to make the day less worrisome. Candelabras, arches, pew bows, guest books and invitations are only a few of the items to be found at 107 S Main. Then bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres are tailor made to the Bride’s specifications guaranteeing that only tears of joy will be shed.

Despite the increasing fuel costs, timely deliveries are made daily as far as Holly and Las Animas and as far north as Eads. This is just one more of the many aspects of outstanding customer service you can expect from our employees. If your recipient lives beyond this vast delivery area, Thoughts in Bloom is partnered with Teleflora to send your order worldwide. Rest assured however that the wire service only enables the customer and does not restrict the designer. Our designers are not bound to pre-determined recipes or “cookie cutter” designs. Each and every delivery will be given special attention and Melissa’s Seal of Approval. Don’t forget the “Bling” rhinestones attached in eye-catching ways that we all have learned to love and enjoy!

Whether it be a thank-you, birthday, holiday or quincenaria, remember to let us … “Put your Thoughts In Bloom”.
