Lamar FFA Scholarship Winners Announced

Thirty Colorado FFA members collectively received over $34,000 in FFA Scholarships this week! Congratulations to Lamar FFA member, Remington Stocking, for receiving the Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance Company of Iowa scholarship for $1500!

Selections were based on the applicant’s academic record, FFA and other school and community activities, supervised agricultural experience program in agricultural education and future goals.

Remington is graduating this semester from Otero Junior College with an Associates of Science Degree and plans on pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Crop and Soil Science next fall. His placement Supervised Agricultural Experience is under the direction of Brian Lauritsen, owner of Valley Ag Consulting.
