Lamar Council Begins Interim Administrator Search

The Lamar City Council will be interviewing candidates for interim City Administrator on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the Municipal Complex.  The interviews will be conducted in executive session and will not open to the public.

As early as last week, the council had at least four names and resumes to select from to find an interim administrator to replace Bill Pfeilsticker.  It’s not known at this point how many persons are being interviewed.  Pfeilsticker submitted his resignation to the council effective immediately on February 29.  The reason for Pfeilsticker’s departure is not being discussed by the council.

Pfeilsticker had been the city’s interim administrator following the departure of Ron Stock in that position, and had been hired by Stock to serve as the Deputy Administrator.  The city council had conducted a search for a permanent replacement, with Pfeilsticker serving as interim administrator until he was offered the position in June of last year.
