Rosendo “Rosie” Ulibarri…March 16, 1938 – February 10, 2012

A funeral service for longtime Lamar resident, Rosendo “Rosie” Ulibarri will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Arturo Serrano officiating.  Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery.

An evening service for Rosie will be held at 7:00 PM, Monday February 13, 2012 at the Lamar Apostolic Assembly in The Faith of Jesus Christ Church led by Jose Varela.

Visitation for Rosie will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until the time for the evening service.

Rosie was born on March 16, 1938 at Las Luguna, New Mexico to Emilio and Matilde (Salas) Ulibarri and passed away on February 10, 2012 at his home in Lamar with his family by his side at age 73.

He is preceded in death by his parents;

Rosie is survived by his wife; Griselda Ulibarri of the family home in Lamar, children; Yvonne (Dave) Cooley of Pueblo West, Colorado, Charles (Bridget) Ulibarri of Dallas, Texas and Jesse (Melody) Ulibarri of Denver, Colorado and a daughter Sheena Reene Ulibarri of the family home as well as his Step-children; Mauricio and Yesenia Motalvo. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Joshua, Adrian, Micah and Brianna, sisters; Emma Montoya Tapia of Lamar and Viola (Juan) Mendoza of Granada as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
