Lorraine Hawley…July 21, 1913 – February 15, 2012

A Funeral Mass for former Lamar resident and currently of Denver, Colorado, Lorraine Hawley will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Reverend Charlie Sena as Celebrant. A Rosary Service will be held prior to the mass at 9:30AM with Deacon Allan Medina reciting.  The Rite of Committal will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.

Visitation for Lorraine will be held from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the Peacock Funeral Home.

Lorraine was born on July 21, 1913 at Longmont, Colorado to Francisco and Concepcion (Rivas) Martinez and passed away on February 15, 2012 at Porter Hospital in Denver, Colorado at the age of 98.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings; Johnny Abitia and Ben Abitia, her children; Manuel Del Hierro, Jr. and Frank Del Hierro, her first husband; Manuel Del Hierro, Sr. and her second husband; Max Hawley.

Lorraine is survived by her children; Julie (Lupe) Adame, Yolanda Marquez, both of Lamar, Celia (Pat) Vega of Denver, Gloria (Eloy) Gonzales of Littleton, and Mike (Ruth) Del Hierro of Denver, eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother; Russ Abitia of Colorado Springs, Colorado as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins other family and friends.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
