Edith M. Barnes…February 27, 1915 – February 12, 2012

                A funeral service for longtime Holly, Colorado resident, Edith M. Barnes, will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday February 16, 2012 at the Cowboy Church in Holly-204 S. 5th St. in Holly.  Robin Van Kempen will officiate the service.  A private family in-urnment service will be held at a later date. 

                Visitation for Edith will be held from 11:00 AM until service time on Thursday February 16, 2012 at the Cowboy Church in Holly. 

                Mrs. Barnes was born on February 27, 1915 to Alexander and Molly (Nazarenus) Wagner in Holly, Colorado and departed this life on Sunday February 12, 2012 at the Melbrook Homes Assisted Living Center in Longmont, Colorado at the age of 96. 

                Edith was preceded in death by her parents, and by four siblings – Alexander “Buddy” Wagner, Charles “Chuck” Wagner, Martha Newkirk, and Pamela Gordon. 

                Edith is survived by four daughters – Janice (Edward) Smith of Bellevue, WA; Helen Goree of Henderson, NV; Donna (Marcus) Barnes-Newton of Greeley, CO; and Judy D. (Tony) Decino of Milliken, CO; by eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; by three siblings – Lillian Decenick of Longmont, CO; Esther Ruggles of Denver; and Vernon (Diane) Wagner of Great Bend, KS; also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends.
