Planning Underway for 2012 Relay for Life in Lamar

“The Magic of Relay; Dream It, Hope It, Cure It.” That’s the theme for this spring’s annual Relay for Life in Lamar to benefit the American Cancer Society. The event will be held again this year on June 2 at Savage Stadium.

This year’s goal, according to organizer Heather Burkhart, is $85,000. Last year’s final total was $81,274.23, exceeding last year’s goal of $68,000. The next meeting will be Monday, February 6th at 6:30 pm at the Lamar United Methodist Church.

Everyone is welcome to attend, and team sign ups can be done on the website www.lamarrfl.org, registration is $25 or free if a team contributes a bag of canned goods. Contact Heather at firegal79@hotmail.com or 719-931-0013 for additional information.
