Arrests Made in Mentally Disabled Mans Assault

Lamar Police Dept Press Release-
Investigation concluded that Jeremy Hendricks of Granada was the victim of an Assault in Lamar on Nov. 15, 2011. The victim is a mentally disabled adult male with the mental culpability of a 4 year old according to family. On the above date he was provided intoxicants that impaired his abilities to think and function by people that may have been in a position of trust. The victim alleges that he was assaulted with unwanted tattoos while being intoxicated, or under the influence. He sustained tattoos to his right forearm, facial area and neck. The tattoos have defaced and disfigured Jeremy Hendricks with permanent markings. The incident has had a negative impact on Jeremy’s character. Family members indicate that Jeremy has been devastated by the entire incident; he is embarrassed and frightened to go outside.
The Lamar Police Departments investigation has resulted in the arrest of Mr. Terry Ausbun, of Oklahoma. He was arrested for investigation of First Degree Assault, Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Assault, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, and Crimes Against an at Risk Adult. Ausbun is being held at the Prowers County Jail on a $20,000.00 bond.
