Lamar School Board Meets this Evening

The Lamar RE-2 school board has a brief agenda to attend to this Monday evening, December 12.  The board is expected to certify mill levies for the 2011 Tax Year and will certify the student population count, taken from this past October for the 2011-2012 year. 

Other agenda items include acceptance of the resignations of high school custodian Curtis West and Parkview music teacher Rhonda Morrison; approve the transfer of music teacher Cindy Neuhold from Washington to Parkview; ratify the hiring of Mary Cochran as high school special education teacher aide and ratify the termination of Jesus Roman Junior as middle school special education teacher aide.  Several travel study requests are also pending board action. 

The Superintendent’s report will cover an update on the school budget and the Power School.  The board meeting begins at 7:30 this evening at the administration offices on West Pearl Street.
