Eloise Friesen…May 16, 1917 – December 6, 2011

            Funeral services for Lamar resident Eloise Friesen will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday December 9, 2011 at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Lamar, Colorado. Pastor Bob McCumber will officiate and burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, Lamar, Colorado.

            Visitation for Eloise will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday December 8, 2011 and from 8:00 A.M. to service time Friday at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Lamar, Colorado.

            Eloise was born on May 16, 1917 at Lisco, Nebraska to Charles and Vianna Riter. She departed this life on December 6, 2011 at Juniper Village in Lamar at the age of 94.

            Eloise was preceded in death by her father, Charles Riter of Oskosh, NE.; her mother Vianna Riter of Oskosh, NE.; by 3 brothers Ernest Riter of Moses Lake, WA., Walter Riter of Eads, CO., and Frank Riter of Portland, OR.; by 3 sisters Gertrude Hill of Eads, CO., Alma Riter of Walla Walla, WA., and Charlotte Riter of Lewellen, NE.

            She is survived by her husband Virgil Friesen of Lamar, CO.; By 4 children George (Villa) Friesen of Deer, AR., ; Wanda (Brent) Balmer of Lamar, CO., Clarence (Karlene) Friesen of Union Star, MO.,and  Calvin Friesen of Holly, CO., ; by 5 grandchildren, 6 great-granchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a  brother Elmer Riter of Hastings, NE. as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
