Update from the Town of Holly

The Town of Holly will implement an email notification system starting January 1, 2012 as an additional method of relaying pertinent information to residents. Planned and unplanned power outages, street closings and openings, blizzard preparation, tornado alerts and frozen water mains are examples of notification topics that could be quickly disbursed by email. Those desiring to be added to the list should email candy@townofholly.com using the Subject line, “NOTIFICATION”.

No message is necessary. Simple guidelines regarding the new system will follow in the December 10, 2011 Town of Holly News insert. The traditional forms of notification currently used will remain in place; the email system is simply a measure to reach more numbers of residents quickly and in a direct manner.

Town offices and all other town facilities will be closed on November 24 and 25 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. All Thursday and Friday garbage routes will be run on Wednesday, November 23. For emergency utility reporting during this period of time, please call 940-1991.

Thanksgiving turkey drawings will be held November 19, 3pm at the Christmas Tree at the Holly Medical Clinic. Register at any Commercial Club member business:

Eleven winners will be chosen to receive one turkey each, and one winner will receive a full-meal deal, including the turkey.
