            Funeral services for longtime Lamar, Colorado resident Shirlene Nunnery will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday November 9, 2011 at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Lamar, CO.. Pastor Dave Davis will officiate and burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar, CO.

            Visitation for Mrs. Nunnery will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday November 8, 2011 and from 9:00 A.M. to service time on Thursday November 9, 2011 at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Lamar, CO..

            Shirlene was born on April 2, 1932 at Coffeyville, KS. the daughter of Edgar Turner and Ida Florence Lacore-Turner. She departed this life peacefully on Sunday November 6, 2011 at her home east of Lamar at the age of 79.

            Mrs. Nunnery was preceded in death by her parents Edgar and Ida Florence Turner, both of Springfield, CO.; and by her husband Charles P. Nunnery of Lamar, CO. on Dec. 1, 2009.

            She is survived by four children Glenda (Ken) Roe of Lamar, CO., Brian (Karen) Nunnery of Lamar, CO., Debora (Jim) Dysinger of Idaho Springs, CO, and Bernis Lee Nunnery of Lamar, CO.; by six grandsons, and five great grandchildren; by a step-sister Joann Rezen of Grand Junction, CO.; and a step-brother Buddy Rezen of Springfield, CO.. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
