Lamar City September Sales Tax Shows Improvement

City Sales Tax collected in September showed an $18,588.43 increase for this year over 2010, for a 7.74% increase. City Sales Tax collections were $258,611.79. Total Sales and Use Tax collections were up 6.43% over last September for a $16,974.10 gain for a monthly total of $280,876.08.
Year-to-date collections for city sales tax showed a 2.68% improvement for a $65,470.46 gain and a collection total for the year of $2,512,914.70. Total Sales and Use Tax collections were up 2.75% compared to last year for a $72,758.22 gain and an annual, to-date total of $2,716,283.37.
