James Lucero…December 10, 1957 – November 17, 2011

   A rosary and memorial service for Lamar resident James A. Lucero are pending with Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Lamar.

            Mr. Lucero was born Dec. 10, 1957 at Lamar and departed this life as the result of an automobile accident at Needles, CA. on Thursday November 17, 2011 at the age of 53.

            Per James request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.

            Mr. Lucero was preceded in death by his mother Angela B. Lucero of Lamar, CO.; by his wife Beth Lucero of Fresno, CA.; and by his sister Rita B. Lucero of Lamar, CO..

            He is survived by his father Robert Lucero of Colorado Springs, CO.; by two children Vanessa Lynn (Sal Banda) Lucero of Fresno, CA. and Mancini (Mary Christina Williams) Lucero of Lamar, CO.; by his companion JoAnn Reyes of Lamar, CO.; by a step-daughter Julia Reyes of Lamar, CO.; by three grandchildren Ethan James Cardoza of Fresno, CA., Beth Elise Lucero and Caleb Ray Lucero, both of Lamar, CO.; by one step-grandchild Jaydren Reyes of Lamar, CO.; and by two nieces Angela (Julian) Chairez of Wiley, CO. and Barbara (Travis Taylor) Gomez of Council Bluffs, Iowa. Also surviving are other relatives and many friends.
