Ghouls and goblins and their moms and dads were out for the annual Lamar Chamber of Commerce, Moonlight Madness event this past Thursday, October 27. Costumed kids visited the Goblin Wobble, sponsored by Tri State Exchange and hosted at Wild West Athletics on North Main Street. Participating groups handed out candy to the youngsters, including the Lamar Police Department, who also gave out glow-in-the-dark wristbands.
Participating merchants offered treats for the kids and adults, in the form of candy for the former and sales discounts for the latter. The evening event was highlighted by the annual S.E. Colorado Art Guild Autumn Art Show with music provided by Ark Valley Wind and Percussion. The Flower Boutique crew was in fine spirits for the night, celebrating their 25th anniversary with a mix of Halloween and Christmas holiday decorations.
Main Street merchants and other participating stores offered discounts, savings or specials to the crowds for the evening.
