Individual Arrested for Aggravated Robbery

On October 20, 2011 officers from the Lamar Police Department received a tip of a possible robbery that was going to occur in the 100 block of East Beech Street. Officers had a strong presence in the area during the time the incident was supposed to occur. Officers received a phone call and stated the suspect was inside the business. Officers located Eric Montoya-Martinez inside being held down by some patrons in the business.
Officers arrested Eric for two counts of attempted aggravated robbery and possession of drug paraphernalia. Eric is being held at the Prowers County Jail on $16,000.00 bond.
