This week we spotlight Main St. Shoppe at 106 South Main in Lamar, owned and operated by Echo Corley.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce our store to you, Main St. Shoppe. We have owned this store for over 20 years. We originally started in the Citadel Mall in Colorado Springs in July of 1990. We expanded into Chapel Hills Mall in Colorado Springs as well as next to the Pueblo Mall in Pueblo, Colorado in 1998. We left all mall locations in 2006. In 2004 we made the decision to leave the big cities and malls behind. After searching several locations in Texas and New Mexico, we selected Lamar. Not only did we like the community, but both of us had grown up on farms and ranches, and we felt right at home in Lamar. So we loaded up all of our belongings and here we are.

Our store is at 106 S. Main St. in Lamar and opened on November 7, 2007. We have 7,000 square feet of inventory, everything you could possibly imagine. If you’ve never been in, you would be amazed to find that we have 57 flavors of popcorn, gourmet European chocolates, gourmet hand-dipped ice cream, plus lots of other goodies.

We carry 9,700 different items in our store, with prices from under a dollar up to $3,500.00. We have an extensive gift ware area where we carry everything imaginable. Select from framed prints, chimes, collectibles, kitchen ware, statues, hundreds of dolls and so much more. If you are in need of a purse or wallet, come to Main St. Shoppe for an amazing selection, and we now carry luggage. Our jewelry line is wonderful, with 14 view cases filled with costume jewelry to fine jewelry. We also replace watch batteries, clean, and do minor repairs on your jewelry.

If you need a custom printed tee-shirt, drop by Main St. Shoppe and let us help you from beginning to end. We’ll help you design your shirt and print it up for you. All of our custom work is done in-house in a very timely manner. Bring your picture, or whatever you want on your shirt, and we can do it.

We carry balloons, and create silk floral arrangements and gift baskets. If your group needs to raise money for whatever reason, come and see us about doing one of our fundraisers.

We pride ourselves on being customer oriented. We are grateful for each and every one of our customers, and do our best to convey that feeling to you. Main St. Shoppe wants to pass along that wonderful home town feeling that you will never receive while shopping in the city.

We specialize in Fund Raising and at the present time we have five different forms of fundraising for the schools, clubs, sports teams, churches, booster clubs, 4H clubs, PTA/PTO Groups and all non-profit organizations that are needing help raising funds. Ours is a continual fundraising program for all that want to continuously raise money. Just drop in and we can customize your fundraising needs.

We are now taking applications for a computer savvy employee at Main St Shoppe that has to be well versed in facebook, web site building and maintenance, my space, Craig’s list, twitter ebay, youtube, yahoo, etc.
