2 Nabbed in Local Drug Bust

The Lamar Police Department Drug Interdiction Team contacted a vehicle on Tuesday, October 11, on a traffic stop which had just been observed at a local narcotic’s dealer’s residence.
Further investigation found Jorge Garcia, 24, of Lamar, in possession of prescription pills, which were packaged in a manner for distribution. Leads and prior submitted information were followed up on and the investigation led to the arrest of Ruben Hernandez Jr., 41, of Lamar, for distribution of the controlled substance.
Jorge is now being held at Prowers County Jail on one count of Possession of Schedule II controlled substance, with a $4,000.00 bond. Ruben is being held at Prowers County Jail on one count of Distribution of Schedule II controlled substance, with a $50.000.00 bond.
