The Wiley 4-H Club has had a fantastic year! The year began with our first 4-H Meeting in January 2011, when we elected all club officers and all members registered. The Wiley 4-H Club has done many club projects throughout the year. We started off with our Community Service project by planting flowers in downtown Wiley in May so that the town would look beautiful for Wiley Hay Days. Then the club had a record book workshop in May at Wiley School where area 4H clubs could come and work on their record books or ask for help on their record books. The Wiley 4H Club also had a fundraiser, in which we sold truck raffle tickets for the Colorado 4H Foundation, the drawing will be held in September. The club also did some activities for Wiley Hay Days. Club members brought their animals and set up a Petting Zoo so kids could come and pet the animals and see what 4H had to offer. The club members answered questions about their animals and told the kids how 4H helped them with learning about animals. The club also had a float in the Wiley Hay Day Parade. Then for the clubs last meeting we met in Willow Creek Park and had a nice picnic and meeting then afterwards we went swimming at the Lamar Pool! The whole club will be finishing up this year with entering all their projects in the Sand and Sage Fair and looking forward to their projects making it to the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo. Undoubtedly, the Wiley 4H Club has had a spectacular year! We look forward to next year! Thank you to all who helped with Wiley 4H this year!
