Softball Series into the Home Stretch

INFORMATION UPDATE:
The Championship Game for the World Series has been moved from 6pm to 1pm on Saturday, August 13. If there is a need for a second game, it will be played at 3:30pm.
Double elimination bracket play in the Babe Ruth 16U World Series games began earlier today, August 10 at Citizen’s Field in Lamar. Pool play concluded on Tuesday with Wilson County, N.C. as the American Division leader with a 4-0 record, followed by Levittown, N.Y. at 3-1 and Hamburg, Ark. At 2-2.
The Wausau, WI team in the National Division is the front runner with a 4-0 record since Saturday, followed by Lodi, CA at 3-1 and North Olympic, WA at 2-2. The East Central Colorado team was 1-3 in pool play and the host team, Lamar All Stars was 0-4. Lamar fought through every game in the Series, losing two of their four games by one run.
The bracket line up for Citizen’s Field for Wednesday, August 10 will have Lodi vs Hamburg, with the winner meeting Wilson County this afternoon, and Levittown will go against North Olympic, with that winner moving on to play against Wausau.
The championship game is set for this Saturday at 6pm and if necessary, a final game will be played at 8pm that night.
