July 2010 Rainfall Exceeded 2011 Levels

The National Weather Service out of Pueblo issued the area precipitation reports for southeast Colorado for the month of July. Once again, July was one of the wetter months of the year, but the levels have fallen off, comparing 2010 to 2011.
Eads reported 2.56 inches for 2011 while 2010 had 3.59; Haswell showed 2.74 inches this year with almost double the amount in 2010 at 5.04. John Martin Dam had a scant 0.33 inches for this past July, compared to 4.07 inches in 2010. La Junta had 1.06 inches for 2011, compared to double that at 3.41 for 2010. Lamar showed 2.92 inches for 2011 against 4.24 for last year. Las Animas was at less than an inch for 2011 at 0.97, while that figure was tripled in 2010 at 3.63, and Walsh dropped from 3.65 for 2010 to only 1.42 for 2011.
