Geneva M. Heim – May 10, 1915 – August 19, 2011

           A funeral service for longtime Lamar resident, Geneva M. Heim, will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday August 23, 2011 at the Lamar Christian Church in Lamar.  Ian Blacker will officiate the service and burial will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar. 

           Visitation for Geneva will be held from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday August 22, 2011 at the Peacock Family Chapel in Lamar and prior to the service at the church.           

Mrs. Heim was born on May 10, 1915 in Casey, Illinois to Raliegh Washington Funk and Anna Laura (Ross) Funk and departed this life on Friday August 19, 2011 at the home of her daughters in Lamar with her family by her side at the age of 96.           

Geneva was preceded in death by her mother and father; by her husband-Reverend Herman L. Heim on August 1, 1978; by two brothers- Ross and Bernard Funk; and by three sisters- Norma Funk; Mary Erwin; and Morna Potter.            

Mrs. Heim is survived by three children- Nina A. Denman of Lamar, Colorado; Phillip A. (Diane) Heim of Conrad, Iowa; Ellis Rolland (Jane) Heim of Manchester, Tennessee; by seven grandchildren-Lisa Denman-Scranton of Lakewood, Colorado; Douglas (Lorinda) Denman of Casper, Wyoming; Daniel (Lori) Denman of Lamar, Colorado; Gretchen (Marc) Olson of Roscoe, Illinois; Olga (Kevin) Lease of Manhattan, Kansas; Ingrid (Paul) Irmiter of Mankato, Minnesota; Jessica Heim of Manchester, Tennessee; by twelve Great Granchildren-Natassja (Jonathan) Buegel of Gardendale, Alabama; Kristen (Jared) Martinez of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; Ashleigh Denman of Lamar, Colorado; Kira (Kyle) Jansma of Milliken, Colorado; Erin Denman of Centennial, Colorado; Elise Olson of Roscoe, Illinois; Isabelle Olson of Roscoe, Illinois; Cade Olson of Roscoe, Illinois; Thea Lease of Manhattan, Kansas; Rachel Lease of Manhattan, Kansas; Adam Lease of Manhattan, Kansas; Eleanore Irmiter of Mankato, Minnesota; by one Great-Great Grandchild-Aiden Douglas Jansma of Milliken, Colorado; and by two siblings-Don (Janice) Funk of Casey, Illinois; and Carolyn (Bob) Hunt of Kimberling City, Missouri; also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends.             T
