Recently the Prowers County Commissioners advertised for local residents to apply for memberships to several county boards that had been without complete membership. Thursday, August 11, the commissioners filled almost every board from among those who submitted a letter of interest.
David Willhite will serve a three year term as board member of the Emergency Telephone Service Communications.
Kevin Rink and Linda Lonnberg appointed to four year teams each for the Prowers County Emergency Telephone Authority Board.
Cory Thompson and Cliff Verhoeff were selected to serve a six year term and a two year term, respectively for the Deadman Drainage Ditch Board, and Dale Simmons was appointed to a four year term.
Dee Melgosa, Charles Creech and Shannon Venturi were selected to serve terms on the Bristol-Granada Cemetery District Board. Those terms are staggered at six years, four year and two years, respectively.
Jennie Marston and AnnaLee Crum will serve on the board for the East Prowers Cemetery District Board. Marston will fill out the unfinished term of Dean Simmons until May, 2012 and Ms Crum will serve a six year term.
Positions for two qualified residents are still available on the Lamar Partnership, Incorporated Board. Interested applicants should contact the Board of Prowers County Commissioners and review the qualifications as posted at www.prowerscounty.net website.
