Wausau and Wilson County remain the only undefeated teams to date in the Babe Ruth 16U World Series games in Lamar. Lodi, CA and Levittown, NY are both at 3-1 and Hamburg and North Olympic are at 2 and 2 each.
The Wednesday bracket match had Hamburg defeating Lodi, 7-5, Levittown downed North Olympic, 6-3; Wilson County shut out Hamburg 5-0 and Levittown closed down Wausau 2-1. Thursday’s action will have Wilson County meeting Levittown at 3pm on Citizen’s Field. Lodi and Wausau will follow at 5pm, and the final game of the evening, between North Olympic and Hamburg will be played at 7:30pm.
The double elimination brackets are set that the winner between the Wilson County and Levittown game will play Saturday at 1pm for the series championship. The winner’s from the Lodi-Wausau game and from the North Olympic and Hamburg game will play Friday at 1pm. That winner meets again at 3:15pm on Friday to play either Wilson County or Levittown, depending on who loses on Thursday. That winner plays for the Babe Ruth Championship game at 1pm.
A reminder, the championship game has been moved from 6pm to 1pm on Saturday, and if a second game is needed, it will be played at 3:30pm.
