Alonzo G. Goodman – February 13, 1927 – August 6, 2011

Memorial services for longtime Lamar resident Alonzo G. Goodman will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday August 13, 2011 at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Lamar, CO.  Rev. Ray Matteson will officiate and in-urnment will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, Lamar.

            Per Mr. Goodman’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation.

            Alonzo was born February 13, 1927 at Manter, Kansas and departed this life on August 6, 2011 at his home in Lamar, CO. at the age of 84.

            Mr. Goodman was preceded in death by his father Russell Goodman of Lamar, CO. on Jan. 18, 1970; by his mother Opal Goodman of Lamar, CO. on Apr. 18, 1974; by his wife Carolyn Goodman of Lamar, CO. on Jan. 30, 2007; by one son Randy Goodman of Broomfield, CO. on Nov. 6, 2009 ; by one brother Calvin Goodman of Granada, CO.; and by three sisters Donna Jean Lewis of Pueblo, CO., Alberta Voss of Pueblo, CO. and Edna Doreen Goodman of Granada, CO.

            Alonzo is survived by three children Carol Taylor of Denver, CO.,

Lonnie (Cindy) Goodman of Gill, CO., and Dennis (Cindy) Goodman of Hatfield, Arkansas; by a foster son Allen (Tamera) Thompson of Greeley, CO.; by 14 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; a daughter in law Dianna Goodman of Broomfield, CO.; by a brother Jack Goodman of Denver, CO.; as well as by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends.
