Lamar Residents Nabbed in Cocaine Bust

Interagency Cooperation Results in Drug Seizure and Arrests

Saturday, July 9, 2011, Lamar Police Officers, Prowers County Deputies, Colorado Highway Patrol, and Parole Officers responded to 410 N. 5th Street, Lamar, to contact a Parole client.
As a result of the contact, officers arrested Baltazar Parra, age 25, of Lamar, and Jose Casillas, age 28, of Lamar, and seized cash and almost two ounces of cocaine from the residence.
Parra and Jose Casillas were charged with Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and Distribution of a Schedule II controlled substance. Those two individuals were transported to the Prowers County jail where they were each held on $50,000 bond. Parole officers arrested Eustaquio Casillas, age 40 of Lamar, for a parole violation
