A Celebration of Life for Lamar resident and formerly of Norcatur, Kansas; Bula V. Kelley will be held at the Norcatur United Methodist Church on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 11:00 PM (CST). Reverend Ed Woods will officiate. A private family interment will be held at the Norcatur Cemetery prior to the memorial service at the church. Per Mrs. Kelley’s request there will be no public viewing.
Bula was born on December 4, 1918 at Furnas County, Nebraska to Charles and Alta (Knutson) Price and passed away on July 5, 2011 at Juniper Village in Lamar at the age of 92.
She is preceded in death by her husband Lester Dale Kelley, her sisters; Minnie Crabill and Virginia Britton, brothers; Russell Price and Kenneth Price. She is also preceded in death by her granddaughter Colleen Kelley and by her brothers-in-law; Ralph Britton and Verl Crabill.Mrs. Kelley is survived by her sons; Jack (Anne) Kelley of Clay Center, KS and Charles (Carolyn) Kelley of Lamar as well as her brother Virgil (Joyce) Price of Norcatur, KS. Bula is also survived by her five grandchildren; Margaret Kelley, Julie Kelley, John (Dana) Kelley, Chris (Kevin) Waller and Cathy (Cory) Osban. Also surviving are her five great grandchildren and her sisters-in-law; Pansy Price, Joyce Price and Doris Klingersmith aswell as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Norcatur United Methodist Church or to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office. Arrangements are under the direction of the Peacock Funeral Home.
