The 2011 Relay for Life in Lamar surpassed the expected goals of $68,000. According to Heather Burkhart, event coordinator, more money was raised, more teams participated, more survivors attended and more Grand Club Members were on hand.
The latest tally has $77,781 raised to date by 53 teams. 140 survivors were present and 644 Luminaria bags received donations. Here are the preliminary results from all the activities at Savage Stadium over the weekend:
