Lamar Days Spring Shootout May 13th & 14th

Plans have been completed in preparation for opening weekend at Lamar Speedway. Lamar Racing Club with help from BST Promotions and Prowers County Lodging tax panel have put together a 2 day race event that will pit race car teams from a 4 state area against each other in a battle for a prize money payout of over $16,000.00. An estimated 35 IMCA modifieds will race for a $3000.00 top prize while 20 IMCA Stock cars and 25 IMCA Hobby Stock cars will race for $750.00 to win in each division. Preregistration have been flowing in for the past 30 days with some of the top modified drivers in the nation including the 4 time IMCA Modified National Champion and all time career wins leader David Murray Jr of Oberlin KS. A fast paced action packed program is planned to bring some of the best dirt track stock car racing back to Lamar that has been seen in years.
Come see the very talented local racers defending their turf against some of the best drivers in the nation. Actions starts Friday night at 7:00pm and Saturday at 6:30 pm. Grandstand pricing is adults $10.00, Seniors $8.00, 6-12 years $4.00, 5 and under free, Pit Admission is $25.00. Lamar Speedway is located 1 ½ miles east of Big Timers Museum on Rd 196.
