Lamar Days Means BBQ

The 7th Annual Wild West BBQ Cook-off and Backyard Grillers Competition gets underway May 13th and 14th at Willow Creek Park in Lamar. This year the cooking competition will be on the eastern side of the park, paralleling the road, from the southern end of the park to the Rotary Way entrance.

Local teams can enter the Griller’s competition. The $10 entry fee could win $100 for first prize and the steaks are supplied free of charge from Thriftway in Lamar. Competition starts at 5pm, Friday 13.

The annual Wild West BBQ Cook-off will feature teams competing for serious cash prizes in several cooking categories. The public can also enjoy plates of barbecued feed from these vendors during the Lamar Days activities at the Park.
