Lamar Community College sophomores Tyler Schnaufer and Carter Coble led the Runnin Lopes at the Eastern Wyoming College Rodeo held March 25-28. While Carter won sixth in Steer Wrestling, Tyler won fourth in Team Roping (header).

Last weekend, Tyler Schnaufer won the Team Roping (header) and finished second in Tie-down Roping at the CSU Skyline Stampede in route to being named Men’s All-Around Champion at the Fort Collins rodeo.

“Tyler works very hard on his roping and this year’s results show it,” said Rodeo Coach Fred Sherwood. Teammate Chelsie Willhoite finished third in Breakaway Roping to lead LCC’s women’s team.

Both Schnaufer and Coble remain in first place in the regional standings in their respective events.

The team will be in action next weekend, April 15-17 at the Casper College Rodeo in Casper, WY
