HITECH HEALTH CARE SYMPOSIUM TO BE HOSTED BY LCC

A day-long HITECH Health Care Symposium will be hosted by LCC on Saturday, April 30, 2011, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Betz Building Atrium and Computer and Nursing Lab classrooms. The HITECH Act is a big portion of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), and has a great deal to do with Electronic Health Records (EHR’s) or the digitizing of all paper health records in a nationwide and uniform system. The Symposium is designed to introduce LCC students, current health care workers and other community members to Health Information Technology (HIT) and how health care and technology are becoming integrated. The Symposium is FREE through ARRA Grant Scholarships and is valued at $69.00. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack will be provided.
