Several Nabbed in Local Drug Bust

On February 15, 2011 officers from the Lamar Police observed Rory Alba, 43, of Lamar in a vehicle in the area of the 400 block of North 8th Street. Officers were advised by Alba’s Parole Officer to contact him and take him into custody for a parole violation. Alba was contacted in the 200 block of South 2nd Street where he was taken into custody. Alba is being held at the Prowers County Jail on no bond and other charges are pending.
During that investigation, officers were obtained information that Marla Abling, 45, of Lamar was looking for a supplier from which she could purchase cocaine. Officers contacted Abling in the 300 block of East Olive Street. Officers obtained permission to search the vehicle Abling was riding in. During the search, officers located a small amount of cocaine where Abling was seated. Abling is being held at the Prowers County Jail where she was charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance and bond was set at $4,000.00.
During the investigation of Abling, officers learned that Eugene Parsee, 26, of Lamar, was advertising he was selling illegal narcotics. Parsee was contacted by officers and subsequent investigation led to his arrest for attempted distribution of marijuana. Parsee is being held at the Prowers County Jail on a parole hold and $4,000.00 bond.
During the investigation concerning Parsee, officers obtained information that Jessica Kimla, 23, of Lamar was looking to purchase prescription drugs. Officers from the police department met Kimla in the 1100 block of South Main Street where she was taken into custody for attempting to purchase a schedule II controlled substance and is being held at the Prowers County Jail on $1,000.00 bond.
Lamar police officers were assisted by Sergeant Sam Zordel of the Prowers County Sheriff’s Office and Parole Officer Tracy Nelson with the investigations.
