Fief Sworn in as Undersheriff

Sam Fief was sworn in as the new Undersheriff for Prowers County, Monday, March 2, at the Sheriff’s Office in Lamar.  Fief was selected as Undersheriff several weeks after Sam Zordel became the new Prowers County Sheriff, replacing James Faull who retired in 2014.

In his hiring announcement, Zordel said Fief’s duties will include supervising the Prowers County Jail, managing dispatch and patrol operations as well as serving as an instructor for many law enforcement areas.  Fief has past work experience in the Lamar and Greeley Police Departments and most recently in the Bent County Sheriff’s Office.
