LPD Has Early Morning Meth Bust

On Friday, April 05, 2013 at approximately 0153 hours, officers of the Lamar Police Department contacted Sydney Moran, 26, of Lamar, at the intersection of South 7th Street and West Olive Street for a traffic violation.
Officers obtained permission from the driver to allow a drug detection K-9 to sniff the vehicle. K9 Wiley was deployed and rendered a positive alert for illegal narcotics during the sniff. Upon further investigation, officers located 11.5 grams of methamphetamine, and other items which are commonly used for the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics.
Moran was taken into custody where she is held at Prowers County Jail on a $50,000.00 any type bond.
