Prostitution, Domestic Violence Arrest at North Love’s in Lamar

On Sunday, 01/20/2013, at approximately 12:45am, Lamar Police Officers were dispatched to Love’s Country Store at 605 N. Main in Lamar on the report of domestic violence. Upon their arrival, officers contacted Telicia N. Jones, age 37, of Dallas, Texas and Emory L. Alexander, age 46, of Cedar Hill, Texas in a tractor trailer truck in the lot.

Jones and Alexander were in an altercation and Emory Alexander was throwing Jones’s possessions out of the truck into the parking lot. Officers separated the individuals, and during the subsequent interviews of both parties, learned that Jones performed a sexual act with Alexander for money earlier in the evening.

As a result of the investigation Ms. Jones was charged with prostitution and transported to the Prowers County Jail where she is being held on $500 bond. Mr. Alexander was charged with domestic violence, harassment, disorderly conduct, and soliciting a sexual act. He was also transported to the Prowers County Jail where he is on a no-bond hold.

Additional charges of solicitation are being sought for a local resident in connection with the incident.
