CBI Investigating Local Fire

Site of 4th Street Fire

On Saturday, August 8, 2015 at approximately 2am, Lamar Fire and the Lamar Police Department was dispatched to the report of a structure fire at the 400 block of South 4^th Street in Lamar. The fire was extinguished and no injuries were experienced by both the public and responders.

During the initial investigation of the residence, the fire was identified as being suspicious in nature. Lamar Police Chief Kyle Miller told The Prowers Journal, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation has been called in on the case and was beginning its investigation as of this Monday, August 10.
