Public Welcome to National Night Out, August 5

The Lamar Police Department and numerous local businesses are hosting a National Night Out at Willow Creek Park on Tuesday evening, August 5.
Area residents are welcome to come out to the site near the Lamar Swimming Pool from 6pm to 11pm to meet and greet and help foster stronger relationships with each other and members of the Lamar Police Department. The national event helps strengthen partnerships, heighten crime-prevention awareness, build support and participation in local anti-crime programs and to send a message that Lamar neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
Participants can enjoy a free hamburger and hot dog BBQ that starts at 6pm, DJ Loco will provide music for the picnic, free swimming is available from 7 to 9pm at the Lamar pool and a free movie will be held in the park once the swimming session is over. Law Enforcement vehicles will also be present for viewing.
