Granada Police Department’s New Officer

MaryAnn Lingle was sworn in as the newest officer for the community of Granada, Tuesday, April 2 at 8:30 am. Officer Lingle will perform police duties but for a period of time, Granada Police Chief, David Dougherty will be with her during all contacts. The FTO training will be approximately six to eight weeks as Officer Lingle assumes the new duties expected of her.
Her position is going to be funded by a JAG grant for four years and this will be the last year of the JAG funding. MaryAnn Lingle graduated in December 2012 from the Otero Junior College Law Enforcement Academy. She is a single mother of four children. She will begin the Granada Police Department’s field training program prior to becoming a solo police officer.
