Thursday, April 25
At 12:19 pm on Thursday, April 25, Lamar Fire personnel were dispatched to a CO detector activation at 1000 W. Olive Street in Lamar. Upon arrival at the scene, fire personnel found that the alarm was beeping at an interval of approximately 30 seconds but there were no CO problems in the home. The detector was found to be bad and the home owner was advised that he needed to replace it.
Saturday, April 27
At 6:06 pm on Saturday, April 27, Lamar Fire personnel were dispatched to a malfunctioning alarm system at 205 S. 10th Street in Lamar. Upon arrival at the location, fire personnel found no signs of a fire and the alarm was reset. The alarm resounded again and was reset multiple times. The detector was cleaned, reset and had not gone off again. Fire personnel stayed on scene to speak with the maintenance personnel for that building.
Sunday, April 28
At 6:12 pm on Sunday, April 28, Lamar Fire personnel were dispatched to an unintentional detector activation at 205 S. 10th Street in Lamar. Upon arrival, no signs of a fire were found and the alarm system was reset. The maintenance supervisor for the building stated that he was going to clean the detector to prevent future problems.
