Five persons on the Lamar City Council are up for re-election this November 3 if they choose to run. Anne-Marie Crampton represents Ward 1 and can run for another four year term. One of the newer council members, Gerry Jenkins, represents Ward 2 and is also facing re-election for a four year term. Beverly Haggard and Felix Dias are from Ward 3. Haggard is up for a four year term if she selects and Dias, who was appointed by Council to fill the position left vacant by Ron Cook, would be up for the remainder of a four year term. That leaves current Mayor, Roger Stagner, who is elected to a two year term and serves as a council member at-large, with no ties to a specific ward district.
