Prowers Medical Center Enhances Customer Service

In preparation for the building expansion project set to break ground in the Spring of 2015, Prowers Medical Center has initiated several projects focused on enhancing their customer service! We are reorganizing operations and realigning patient care with best practices in an effort to move toward providing patients with the best possible encounter at every level.
All patients requiring clinical services in the hospital, i.e. Imaging, Laboratory, Respiratory Therapy, and other inpatient or outpatient services can now take advantage of our “new” Centralized Registration area and experience a more customer friendly environment. Effective immediately, patients can report to the newly remodeled area in our Front Lobby and register for their patient care needs all in one convenient location.
Hours for this convenient healthcare service are available Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 am and 5:00 pm.
Cherie Hernandez, Patient Registration Supervisor, said this new feature combines other ancillary registration staff from other sections of the hospital to one location. “This will help minimize patient confusion when they come to register, especially if they’re first time visitors to PMC,” she explained. Hernandez noted that the new location is in close proximity to the main desk for Language Interpreter Services, under the direction of Elia Trujillo. “When we begin the remodeling in April, this front entrance will be the only point through which patients can enter the hospital, as the rear section will be closed off for construction,” Hernandez stated.
The new location also offers a shared Waiting Area in the Front Lobby giving our patients and their families ease of access through our front doors. Patients can be dropped off through the circle drive under the protection of the covered awning. Once registered, the patient will be escorted to their destination to receive their treatment or procedure.
For added convenience, the parking spaces located closest to the front entrance to the hospital are now reserved strictly for our patients and visitors. As we progress with our customer service projects, you will begin to see additional signage – both internally and externally – to help redirect traffic and patient flow.
