Reception Planned After County Oaths of Office

Seven elected Prowers County officials will receive their oath of office in a public ceremony at 9am on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 on the third floor of the Prowers County Courthouse.

Several positions were not contested in the November General Election, but protocol mandates that those persons be administered their official oaths to begin their new terms.  They include: Andy Wyatt, Prowers County Assessor; Lorraine Woolley, Prowers County Treasurer; Jana Coen, Prowers County Clerk & Recorder, Joe Giadone, Prowers County Coroner and Judge Larry Stutler, County Court Judge.

Ron Cook and Sam Zordel ran for and were elected to their new positions, with Cook as the new Prowers County Commissioner, replacing Joe Marble and Sam Zordell as the new Prowers County Sheriff, replacing Sheriff Jim Faull who is retiring from office.

Following the 9am ceremonies in the Large District Courtroom, a reception will be held on the second floor of the Courthouse.
