SERVsafe Training Scheduled in Lamar

LAS ANIMAS, COLORADO, September 30, 2014:
Prowers County Public Health and Colorado State University Extension are offering ServSafe Food Protection Managers Certification Training October 24 in Lamar.
This certification meets the requirements for retail food managers seeking advanced food safety certification, as well as individuals wanting to produce and sell home-based food products in accordance with the Colorado Cottage Food Act.
ServSafe ® is a nationally recognized comprehensive food safety training developed by the National Restaurant Association. The eight-hour class concludes with a certification exam; participants who achieve a score of 75% or more receive a certificate valid for five years.
Registration for the Lamar training is due October 10. The $120 fee includes the course book, exam and lunch. There must be a minimum of eight participants or the class will be cancelled.
