Prowers County Office of Emergency Management – Media Release
Prowers County Office of Emergency Management in conjunction with the Lamar Fire Department and Wiley Fire Department will be conducting a unified test of the outdoor warning sirens on Thursday June 12th from 10:00am thru 12:00 noon. This will include the 7 sirens in the City of Lamar, the siren in the Town of Wiley and the siren located in The Meadows.
The tests will entail; a 1 minute steady siren tone; a 3 minute steady siren tone; a 3 minute wail, and air raid type tone. In the event of inclement weather, the testing will be postponed.
