Lamar Community College Rodeo Update – Gillette College Rodeo

Lamar Community College freshman Randy Schaapman, of Manteca, CA, won the bull riding competition at the Gillette College Rodeo in Gillette, WY last weekend. Also placing for Lamar were Brooke Smith, first in the first round of goat tying, and Dylan Wahlert, fifth in the first round of bareback riding. “Injuries plagued us,” commented Fred Sherwood, LCC head coach. “Brooke sprained her ankle and could not compete in the short round and Brie Norton broke her arm.” The next Rodeo for LCC is April 4-6 in Torrington, WY.
