Granada Squads Split with Walsh, Girls Lose to Kim

GranadaBobcatBkSMLast Friday night saw Granada hosting Walsh in both boys and girls varsity action. The Lady Bobcats opened the night by securing a hard-fought 47-41 victory over the Lady Eagles. Their counterparts were unable to make it a sweep, as the boys fell to the Eagles 47-39.

The Lady Bobcats traveled to Kim on Saturday afternoon and they quickly found themselves in a 24-7 hole, just eight minutes into the game. Granada just kept plugging away and the deficit had been whittled down to eight heading into the half, 32-24. The Lady Mustangs slowed the charge in the third and took a 39-30 advantage to the final period. Granada made another push, but came up short, falling 48-45.

The girls are off until Tuesday, Feb. 11, when they visit Cheyenne Wells. The boys have a contest with Plainview scheduled for this Thursday, Feb. 6, and then they will also make the trip to Cheyenne Wells next Tuesday.
