Items okay for disposal include: latex and oil based paint; tires, treated wood; used oil filters (free of oil); white goods such as washers/dryers, freezers or computers; tree limbs and yard waste (bag your leaves).
Items NOT accepted are: junk vehicles, burn barrels, demolition debris/asbestos.
Items that need to go to the Fire Department are: lead acid batteries, fluorescent bulbs, household pesticides, poisons (only household hazardous waste, cleaners, solvents, rodent control) and liquids that are labeled correctly, oil and antifreeze should be dropped off at the Public Works Department at 103 North 2nd Street.
Volunteers and city employees should meet at 6:30am at the Public Works Department at 103 North 2nd Street and remember your work gloves. An appreciation lunch will be served at Willow Creek Park at Noon. More information is available at the Public Works Department at 336-2002.
