Prowers Lodging Panel is Looking for a Logo

What one image best represents Prowers County? That will be the basic criteria for a logo being sought to represent the Prowers County Lodging Tax Panel. The organization has been without one since it was organized over five years ago. Board members suggested holding a county-wide contest during their monthly meeting, Tuesday, October 16 at the PCDI offices in Lamar.
SECORHT, the regional tourist promotion group, recently made an offer to link the Lodging Panel to SECORHT’s website, but you need at least a logo for that to happen. The county tourism promotion group will be able to offer $400 as a prize for the one selected by the panel, under their operating by-laws. The contest is open to any Prowers County resident and information flyers will soon be sent to schools, members of the S.E. Colorado Art Guild… anyone who is able to create a hard-copy image which can be reviewed by the panel.
The selected image will become the property of the Prowers County Lodging Panel for future use. The deadline for entries is Noon on Tuesday, November 20, the next monthly meeting of the panel board members. For additional information, contact Carla Scranton at 336-4328.
